rasam and gadagam are the best medicines in siddha.the two things unite to form a good medicine that will be named as gajali; wht is the chemical reaction in that. answer me .
was wondering how Sidda Medicine would compare to "Western Medicine"
I'm going to use Hepatitis C as an example.
Here HepC would probably be treated using medications such as Interferon, PegIntron, Ribivaron (spelling ?) What would be a recommended treatment from Sidda Medicine? How do the results of treatment compare, etc.

I am not comparing Siddha medicine with modern medicine.

The said thing is just for the awareness about SELF MEDICATION only.
Siddha medicine need not be compared with Modern medicine.
Siddha medicine have it's own standard texts.
Nobody can alter the formulations in the siddha system.
The very old siddha texts are now being under research you know.
The modern life saving drug Digoxin,Oueen of analgesic Opium,Famous Liver corrctive Sylimarin,the only anti malarial drug Chloroquin.......etc
----all are derived only from the ultra research of herbs that is a part of Siddha medicine.
so NO MORE COMPARISON AT ALL.
