- Mostly affecting minor joints.
Discussion:
In the medical practice,we can observe that many
people leave the disease unnoticed and
untreated especially in earlier stages, may be due to lack of awareness. Many
persons are doing local managements for pain or getting symptomatic treatments.
When the typical signs are coming out, the patients are rushing to specialty
hospitals and advised for steroid therapy many times. Vali Azhal Keel Vaayu (வளி அழல் கீல் வாயு) in Siddha system of medicine, is compared of with RA.
In my Medical practice:
We have been treating RA patients successfully with Siddha
drugs as per the general condition and severity of illness. Patients are
getting relieved within 2-3 months treatment from severe painful condition and they
are asked to follow the medicine with special dietary regimen. Our patients are
properly educated about their illness and safely treated to get maximum
relief. All our patients are asked to withdraw steroid and harmful drugs, which
they are regularly using for a long period and this positive try is really working.
